Lose at least another 20 pounds. I lost about 20 in 2024 even with a lot of setbacks due to family issues. We're about six weeks into the New Year and I'm well on track but there can always be some unexpected setbacks.
All goals should include a time frame and be realistic. After that, the more specific you are with your goals, the more likely you are to achieve them. To say "I want to look good when I look in the mirror", doesn't communicate a lot.
On the other hand, if you state, I want 18" biceps by the end of June 2025. Tells everyone exactly what you're aiming to achieve. What makes it realistic would be if your arms are presently @17.5" or even 17".
What would be an unrealistic goal would be if your arms are 13" presently. Setting a goal with that great a jump is setting yourself up for failure. The likelihood of that amount of change happening in such a short time period would be closer to a fantasy than a reality.
Count me in. My goal for 2025 is a 10% BFI (body fat index) by summer time.
BTW, one of the best ways to stay on track is to 1) tell as many people as possible about your goal (✓). And 2) make periodic updates. Say the first or last day of each month?
I've just started back at the gym this week, and have a few fitness goals I'd like to share as well as showing regular progression updates. Anyone else in similar boat and want to connect to track one anothers journey? Looking forward to connecting, drop me a line....
