Sorry to hear you got injured. That hasn’t happened to me, so I have no idea, I guess until such time as somebody’s had a good look at it you don’t really know how severe it is. But I wish you all the best for a speedy recovery.
Last Monday in doing a takedown counter drill in bjj class fell on my right arm giving me an apparent bicep tear. Had something similar in my left arm many weeks ago grom a hyper extension that is nearly healed and was not as severe. Since first available PCP appt is 3/25 and first available sports med specialist appt is 3/31 cannot be sure until after I see the above doctors but calls and messages to PT people and others in the know go along with the above. Has anyone in this group experienced anything similar and how was the recovery? Thanks
I had the same injury when i was applying an armbar. It was painful and, unfortunatly, it dont have a cure. If it gets worse, its surgery… I feel a little Pain sometimes, but it cost me the blue belt. I had other injuries from bjj. Because it all, i just gave up training. Doctor said tô me that you have to train your muscles, irrespective tô What sport you are training.
Tô answer your question, bíceps injury has no recorver. You just live with, try to make your muscle stronger, phisiotherapy etc. but it Will never be like it was again.
Btw, i dont consider myself coming Back tô bjj
