Great guy and very easy-going attitude. Strong and technical fighter. Rolled for an hour and a half with him and he's still going strong! Definitely gives a good fight if you're looking for a good grappling!

We had a fantastic match, he is very strong and a great opponent. Neither of us have much knowledge on technical wrestle holds, but both of us are strong and we had a great match! Great guy, very nice, and real. Respected boundaries when I needed a rest and some water, didn't go crazy on sneak attacks when I wasn't expecting them.

Well, when we met we mostly wrestled, which wasn't his deal. Then tried gut punching, which wasn't my deal, heh. *Aside* from that, one of the much better people to meet, so if GP is your thing. Get on with it. Recommended.

Derek is a really great guy - the perfect host, friendly, very fit, extremely easy to get along with and someone who loves his wrestling. We wrestled in oil and despite the size difference, I had a great time. He is safe and sane and very adaptable to the needs of his opponent - one of my best ever wrestling experiences. Thanks a lot D - highly recommended ! I definitely hope to meet him again.

Tough Portuguese bull! This is how i often refer him to others. Strong hands and tough oponent, great sweat, learned his way quick in BJJ. I Feel lucky and honored to have come across such great guy during my extended stay in Lisbon. Have wrestled him a few times, competitvely also, as we were training BJJ.
